This year’s workshops include conference-specific topics like Active Peacemaking, Raising Ethical Children,  Bonhoeffer’s Cost of Discipleship, “Truth, Reconciliation, and Forgiveness,” Spiritual Practices, and Discipleship and Congregational Renewal.  There will be wisdom from the Civil Rights movement and some only-in-the-South topics. Workshops on Reformed Biblical interpretation and current scientific understanding of sexuality offer resources for dialogue.  We’ll look ahead to the General Assembly with workshops on local organizing and upcoming issues, and learn about the Cumberland Presbyterians, with whom we’ll overlap in Birmingham. As last year, Reflection Groups provide opportunities for small group sharing, and conversations with plenary speakers allow further reflection.
